Ingredients

  • 2 dashes (1.2 ml) Angostura Aromatic Bitters
    Traditional aromatic spice
  • 1 whole (1 whole) Egg
    Fresh whole egg
  • 2 oz (59.1 ml) Dutch Genever
    Traditional Dutch juniper spirit (jonge or oude)
  • 1/2 oz (14.8 ml) Simple Syrup
    Rich simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add 2 oz (59.1 ml) Dutch genever, 1/2 oz (14.8 ml) simple syrup, and 1 whole egg to shaker
  2. Add 2 dashes (1.2 ml) Angostura aromatic bitters
  3. Dry shake vigorously without ice

    Essential for emulsification

  4. Add ice and shake again vigorously
  5. Double strain into chilled small coupe glass

    Pre-chill glass

  6. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg creating aromatic crown
