  • 3 dashesCardamom Bitters
    Warm baking-spice bitters
    Substitute: Any aromatic or spiced bitters
  • 3 dashesBob's Cardamom Bitters
    The other cardamom bitters the catalog carries — use it or the Scrappy's, not both
    Substitute: Any aromatic or spiced bitters
  • 2 ozBourbon Whiskey
    A wheated or high-corn bourbon
    Substitute: Rye for more spice
  • 1/4 ozDemerara Syrup
    Rich 2:1 demerara
    Substitute: Simple syrup or a sugar cube

Instructions

  1. Add 2 oz bourbon, 1/4 oz demerara syrup and 3 dashes cardamom bitters to a mixing glass
  2. Stir with ice until well chilled
  3. Strain over a large cube in a rocks glass, express an orange peel and drop it in
