  • 1 ozEspresso
    Freshly pulled, hot
    Substitute: Strong moka-pot coffee
  • 3/4 ozConcerto
    Coffee-and-cocoa amaro
    Substitute: Any coffee amaro, or Averna

Instructions

  1. Pull a hot single espresso into a warmed espresso cup
  2. Stir in 3/4 oz Concerto amaro

Pull a hot espresso and stir in the amaro, or serve the amaro alongside

Why the Caffè Corretto Works

Concerto is already a coffee amaro, so it corrects espresso with cocoa, liquorice and caramel rather than fighting it. A short pour keeps it a coffee, not a cocktail.
