Historical Context

Wynand Fockink works from the Pijlsteeg in the centre of Amsterdam, in a distillery built in 1679 that Wynand Fockink took over in 1724. It stayed a family business until 1954, and the same distillery now also makes Bols. Besides its liqueurs and genevers, the house makes three cocktail bitters: this orange, a tobacco and a perfume bitters.

What Does Wynand Fockink Orange Bitters Taste Like?

Orange at both ends, the sweetness of the fruit and the bite of the bitter peel together, with warm spice through the middle. Golden in the glass and spicy-sweet rather than dry.
