Classic gin sour with absinthe rinse and orange bitters
Ingredients
- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice acidFresh squeezed
- 1 dash (0.6 ml) Orange Bitters bittersOptional but traditional
- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Cointreau modifierOrange liqueur
- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Lillet Blanc modifierFrench aperitif wine
- Rinse Absinthe modifierFor glass rinse
- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Gin spiritLondon Dry gin
Instructions
- Rinse chilled coupe glass with absinthe, swirl to coat, discard excess Light coating only
- Add 3/4 oz gin, 3/4 oz Cointreau, 3/4 oz Lillet Blanc, and 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice to shaker
- Add 1 dash orange bitters
- Fill with ice and shake vigorously
- Double strain into prepared absinthe-rinsed coupe
- Express orange peel oils over drink
