- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Fresh Lemon JuiceFresh squeezed
- 2 dashes (1.2 ml) Angostura BittersFloat on top
- 1 whole (1.0 whole) Egg WhiteOptional, for texture
- 2 oz (59.1 ml) BourbonQuality bourbon
- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Simple SyrupRich simple syrup preferred
Instructions
- Add 2 oz bourbon, 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice, and 3/4 oz simple syrup to shaker
- Add egg white if using and dry shake vigorously
Shake without ice first
- Add ice and shake again vigorously
Second shake with ice
- Double strain into chilled coupe glass
Use fine mesh strainer
- Float 2 dashes Angostura bitters on foam
