Sparkling wine cocktail with sugar and bitters

Ingredients

  • 3 dashes (1.9 ml) Angostura Bitters
    Soak sugar cube
  • 4 oz (118 ml) Champagne
    French champagne
  • 1/2 oz (14.8 ml) Cognac
    VSOP cognac
  • 1 cube (1.0 cube) Sugar Cube
    White sugar cube

Instructions

  1. Place sugar cube in champagne flute
  2. Saturate sugar cube with 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  3. Add 1/2 oz cognac
  4. Top with 4 oz champagne
  5. Stir gently and garnish with lemon peel
